Police charge man in connection with alleged sexual assault of 13-year-old girl

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has charged a man in connection to the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

At approximately 7 a.m. on June 22, 2023, the LPS responded to a report of a missing 13-year-old girl. Police said officers found the girl inside a vehicle with an adult male at a north Lethbridge park.

The girl was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, and the male was taken into custody. An investigation revealed the victim had been unconscious, and was reportedly sexually assaulted. According to police, videos of the alleged incident were recorded and appeared to have been made available for distribution on social media.

Sean Cedric Bilo, 19, of Lethbridge, is facing multiple charges, including:

• Sexual assault
• Sexual interference
• Make/print/publish child pornography
• Distribute child pornography
• Possession of child pornography
• Invite sexual touching
• Luring a child

Bilo was released from custody with numerous conditions following a Judicial Interim Release. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 5, 2023.
