LETHBRIDGE, AB – A new contest has been announced by the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta.

The “23 in ‘23” summer contest will highlight 23 different projects the foundation has supported through its grant programs. Some of these include the outdoor classroom at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, the Bomber Command Museum in Nanton, the disc golf course in Raymond, and the Empress Theatre in Fort Macleod.

To participate in the contest, people can visit the 23 project sites the foundation has highlighted, take a selfie during their visit, then upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #CFLSA23in23.

Every selfie tagged and shared on social media will serve as an entry into a draw for one of three $500 gift cards for groceries and gasoline.

The foundation’s executive director, Charleen Davidson said, “You may not know it, but you see the Community Foundation every day.”

“We support some incredible projects, thanks to the generosity of our donors, and we want to showcase those projects for everyone to see, but also so that people have a better understanding of just what it is we do.”

Davidson added, “Our grants support everything from the arts to the social sector to the whimsical. Most importantly they support a healthy community.”

The contest will run from July 1 to September 4, 2023. Winners will be announced on social media on September 5. More details about the contest are at the foundation website.
