Purple Hippo Boutique: local handmade gifts for everyone

Jun 30, 2023 | 11:21 AM

Pattison Media is proud to support the local community with the ‘Amplify Southern Alberta’ promotion, featuring local businesses, individuals and groups that make a difference in our community.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Purple Hippo Boutique in Lethbridge realized there was a need, a need for an all-year craft market, where local artisans could rent space at a reasonable rate.

That need has transitioned into a success story.

Purple Hippo Boutique has always supported the community; the team lives here and knows the people, charities, and organizations that need assistance. Purple Hippo Boutique has made charitable donations to Lethbridge Pride and helped run successful fundraisers for the Society of Pagan Fellowship, and many other like-minded organizations.

Purple Hippo Boutique strives to provide excellent customer service with a laid-back, no-pressure shopping experience from a wide variety of mostly handmade items. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in-store, Purple Hippo Boutique will do its best to help you find it somewhere or will contact the artisans for their custom work.

A fun fact about why Purple Hippo Boutique is named as such. Kacie Dyck, the original owner, was crocheting a purple hippo when the song, ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas’ came on the radio. That’s when the Purple Hippo Boutique was born. They are another great example of a Lethbridge business that knows how to Amplify the community.

Purple Hippo Boutique, thank you for all that you do. Follow Purple Hippo Boutique on Facebook.
