LETHBRIDGE, AB – A local athlete has signed with the Lethbridge College Kodiaks.

The Kodiaks men’s basketball team has announced the addition of shooting guard Dray Walburger.

Head coach Ryan Heggie said the 6’3 guard will be a true asset to the team’s offensive arsenal, thanks to his talents in going one-on-one.

Heggie stated that, “Dray is a unique player who can create his own offence.”

Walburger specializes in a wide range of shots, including from beyond the arc, to mid-range to finishing at the basket. He said, “To me, [signing with the Kodiaks] means joining a championship program with a tradition of success.”

“I see it as a great opportunity and privilege to join the Kodiaks,” Walburger remarked.

The Kodiaks men’s basketball team won bronze at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) championships last season.

Coach Ryan Heggie added that he has known Walburger for years, having coached him at many summer camps. Heggie said, “I’m extremely excited he’s a Kodiak moving forward.”
