Man arrested following search on Blood Tribe residence

STANDOFF, AB – The Blood Tribe Police Service has arrested a man following a search on a residence located on the Blood Tribe.

On June 29th, 2023, The Blood Tribe Police Service Drug Task Force Unit conducted a joint forces CDSA operation with the RCMP Southern Alberta District (SAD) Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) an executed a search warrant on the property.

22 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine, $3358.25 dollars Canadian Currency, and one vehicle were seized in the search.

Darren Manuel Small Eyes, 53, of the Blood Tribe, was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Property/Proceeds obtained by crime.

Small Eyes was brought before a Justice of the Peace, and later released. He will appear in Cardston Provincial Court on July 31st, 2023.
