Blood Tribe Police seize drugs, weapons from residence

STANDOFF, AB – Two people are facing charges after police say a search led to the recovery of drugs and weapons in Standoff.

The Blood Tribe Police Service Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Blood Tribe Police Service Community Policing Division, executed a search warrant on a residence on July 4, 2023.

Police said 13 grams of suspected fentanyl, two replica handguns, carbon fiber brass knuckles, and multiple edged weapons were seized.

Aaron Tye Eli, 27, of the Blood Tribe, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl, and will appear in Cardston Provincial Court on July 24, 2023.

Sterling Brock First Rider, 27, also of the Blood Tribe, faces two counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order and appeared in court in Lethbridge on July 6, 2023.
