2023 Local Love Golf Classic – July 25, 2023

United Way’s Local Love Golf Classic takes place on Tuesday, July 25 at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort. The tournament has a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and a field of 144 players.

ULethbridge Knitting At Noon in the Gallery – July 25, 2023

The University of Lethbridge Art Gallery is holding the Knitting at Noon in the Gallery event from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. The event offers lessons on how to knit and crochet, with free supplies and free tea on site.

Hootenanny in Galt Gardens: There’s a Turtle in my Tub! – July 26-29, 2023

New West Theatre’s summer outdoor show for all ages, Hootenanny, will be in Galt Gardens from Wednesday, July 26 until Saturday, July 29 with the original play There’s a Turtle in my Tub!

The outdoor performance is free for all ages and starts each morning at 10:30 a.m. The performance follows Kit, a curious and creative young person who finds a turtle named Seymour in his bathtub. This is the final week of the show, and information can be found at New West Theatre’s website.

Lethbridge Farmers’ Market at Festival Square – Every Wednesday

The Wednesday Downtown Farmers’ Market, put on by the Lethbridge & District Exhibition, and Downtown Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ), is running every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until September 6, 2023. Admission is free, but parking rates may apply.

Yoga in the Garden – Every Thursday

Running every Thursday until August 3, 2023, guided yoga will be provided by a guest volunteer. Participants only need to bring their own yoga mat and some water. Registration for the event can be found here and it takes place at the Interfaith Learning Garden.

Pop Up Play! – July 27-28, 2023

Building Brains Together is holding two Pop Up Play! events at Lethbridge parks this week. The first will be held at Nicholas Sheran Park on Thursday, July 27, followed by one at Legacy Park on Friday, July 28. The event has free outdoor activities for all ages, and will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. both days. Information is at the Building Brains Together website.

Wellness Groups Program – Free Facilitator Workshop

The Interfaith Food Bank, in collaboration with Recovery College, is holding an orientation from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, July 28 at Interfaith Food Bank.

The orientation is for the wellness groups workshops that will be held throughout August 2023. At those workshops, participants will have a safe space to discuss various topics such as anger, anxiety, loneliness, and depression in groups. All sessions are free of charge.
