Lethbridge College Kodiaks men’s soccer team adds midfielder Nikola Baljak

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks have signed midfielder Nikola Baljak to their roster.

Baljak is a graduate of Calgary’s Centennial High School, and joins the Kodiaks after playing with the Foothills Men’s Soccer Club.

He said, “I think I’ll be able to bring my creativeness to the field. I also think I can help in a lot of aspects on and off the field, whether it’s through teaching others or the mentality part of the game.”

Baljak will study Engineering Design Technology during his time at Lethbridge College.

Head coach Sean Carey spoke highly of Baljak, saying, “He’s a tier one player who has got his sights set on [a] higher level. This is going to be a good step for him to get some schooling while he’s doing it.”

Last season, the Kodiaks finished with a 3-3-4 record, and finished in fourth place in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference’s (ACAC) South Division.

The Kodiaks will kick off their 2023 preseason with a trip to Yukon in August.
