LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks women’s volleyball team has added an experienced setter to its roster.

Aurelia Gretzinger graduated from Chinook High School in 2018 and played for Lethbridge Volleyball Club while in high school. Since then, she has played locally with the competitive Lethbridge Co-Ed Volleyball League, prior to her signing with the Kodiaks.

Gretzinger said, “I am really looking forward to having that team atmosphere. I haven’t played in quite a few years, and I definitely miss having the group of girls being around and that friend atmosphere.”

Gretzinger will enroll in the Interior Design Technology program starting this fall.

Kodiaks head coach Anna Schwark spoke highly of Gretzinger’s maturity and work ethic.

Schwark explained, “She will help us bring more maturity to the team, which I think is always helpful. Her consistency, even when playing with a variety of hitters, is what really had us thinking we’d like her on our team.”

The Kodiaks are looking to capitalize and build on last season, which saw them finish fourth-place in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) standings. Lethbridge College will play host to the ACAC Championships for the 2023-24 season.
