Western Stockman: outfitting Lethbridge and southern Alberta for over 25 years

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Meet Lacey O’Donnell, the passionate manager of Western Stockman, a cherished store in our community. The story of this store is intertwined with Lacey’s family history, as her parents, Cheryl, and Jim, took over the shop in 1992, the same year she was born. It started as a spontaneous decision but quickly became a significant part of their lives.
After her father’s passing in 2012, Lacey took up the mantle to keep the store running. With a deep love for the place and the community it served, she embraced her role as the manager. She worked alongside her mother, Cheryl, to honour her father’s memory and to maintain the legacy and values that Western Stockman stood for. Though Cheryl isn’t at the store often, she is always available for advice and help. Lacey says of her mother, Cheryl, “She is the best mother and an amazing businesswoman!”
One of the store’s core principles is giving back to the community that supports them. Lacey believes in providing living wages to staff, fair-priced goods to customers, and actively supporting local events, rodeos, and auctions – demonstrating their commitment to the people who have made their success possible. Western Stockman recently sponsored the Raymond Stampede, Starbound Dance Team, and Stirling Saddle Club.
