RCMP seeking suspect in pedestrian hit and run near Stirling

STIRLING, AB – The RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a pedestrian hit and run.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023, officers say they responded to a hit and run collision on Township Road 64A near Stirling.

According to the RCMP, the victim was out running when he was struck from behind by a small sedan.

A nearby motorist located the victim in the ditch and phoned 911.

The victim was transported to hospital and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a sedan of an unknown make and model. The RCMP said the vehicle will likely have damage to the front passenger side and/or side mirror.
