LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events in the Lethbridge area this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has you covered with the details.

Fry Day – August 11, 2023

McCain is hosting Fry Day, a charity event on Friday, August 11, 2023. Funds raised from the event will go towards Ronald McDonald House Charities. Anyone looking to participate will get free fries with a donation at the McDonald’s at Mayor Magrath Drive. One dollar from every McDonald’s fry sales will also go towards the charity.

Coaldale Summer Fest – August 11 to 12, 2023

On August 11 and 12, Coaldale Summer Fest will return with the theme “Salute to Agriculture”. Summer Fest will kick off on the evening of Friday, August 11, with a movie in Millennium Park behind the Coaldale Sportsplex. On Saturday, there will be a pancake breakfast and a candy parade, followed by life performances and a show and shine. A full list of activities is on the event website.

Wonderstruck – August 9 to 26, 2023

New West Theatre kicked off its 2023-24 season on August 9, 2023 with the musical comedy ‘Wonderstruck’ at the Yates Memorial Theatre. The theatre company describes the show as having a mix of classic and contemporary rock ‘n’ roll hits to go along with sketch comedy. Tickets can be purchased here.

Food Truck Fridays – August 11, 2023

Those looking to check out some different food trucks can head over to the parking lot area at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden for Food Truck Fridays on August 11. On Fridays until September 29, various food trucks will be set up, including Santeria Taco Truck, Vesano Pizza, Piggyback Poutinerie, Macs & Custard, and many others. Focus Group for Interfaith Food Bank Wellness Groups – August 11, 2023

Wellness groups workshops will be held throughout August 2023. At those workshops, participants will have a safe space to discuss various topics such as anger, anxiety, loneliness, and depression in groups. All sessions are free of charge, and the August 11 session runs from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Agri-Food Hub and Trade Centre open house – August 12, 2023

The newly opened Lethbridge & District Exhibition Agri-Food Hub and Trade Centre is hosting an open house for the public on Saturday, August 12, 2023. The 268,000 square foot venue opened its doors on Thursday, August 10. The open house for the public starting at 10 a.m.

Lethbridge Comic, Card and Collectibles show – August 12, 2023

The Lethbridge Comic, Car and Collectibles show is being held at the Rocky Mountain Turf on Saturday, August 12, 2023. The show will feature Comic Books, Sports Cards, Toys, Coins, Hot Wheels, and many other collectibles from over 30 vendors. C3 Caring Character Cosplay will also be at the event, which runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Sheryn Regis at Coast Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Centre – August 12, 2023

Singer Sheryn Regis is performing at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Centre as part of her All Out 20th Anniversary Concert Series. The event is a dinner concert, and features four other performers. The concert starts at 5:00 p.m., and information can be found here.
