Gleichen RCMP seek public assistance with aggravated assault investigation

GLEICHEN, AB – The Gleichen RCMP is asking for the public’s help in an aggravated assault investigation.

On June 5, 2023 at 12:40 a.m., Gleichen RCMP responded to a complaint of a male who was suffering from a stab wound on Highway 901 near the Bow River.

Police say the victim was allegedly approached by two males, with a third male driving a quad nearby. An altercation reportedly took place, which resulted in the victim being stabbed.

The victim was transported to the Foothills Hospital with serious, non life-threatening injuries.
