Expanded Heat Warning in place for Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services has elevated the current Heat Warning to an Expanded Heat Warning for the city of Lethbridge.
The expanded warning is due to special air quality statements because of the wildfire smoke. The City of Lethbridge provided some tips for dealing with the smoke and heat
- If feeling overheated, thirsty or nauseous, take immediate actions to cool down.
- Although air pollution and smoke can be harmful to your health, extreme heat is more dangerous. Whenever possible, keeping cool should always be your priority.

Temperatures in Lethbridge and southern Alberta are expected to drop from a high of 32 on Friday, August 18 to a high of 21 on Saturday, August 19.
