Lethbridge and area residents invited to Stuff the Bus

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A fundraising event to help students before the start of school is set to go.

The Stuff the Bus initiative from MyCityCare takes place Tuesday, August 22 through Thursday, August 24, 2023 in Lethbridge. The goal of the campaign is to collect and distribute backpacks filled with new school supplies to families in need.

Last year, the program resulted in the distribution of 1,400 backpacks.

Urgent needs for this year include:

  • Crayons
  • Washable markers
  • Pencil crayons
  • Erasers
  • Glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Permanent markers
  • Red and black pens
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Lined paper
  • Duotangs
  • Geometry sets
  • Graph paper
  • Dry-eras markers
  • Scientific calculators
  • 1-inch binders
  • Exercise books
  • Notebooks
  • Dividers
  • Highlighters
  • Basic calculators

Donations can be dropped off at various locations, including:

  • Mastermind Toys

  • Unique Beauty
  • Fresh Life Chiropractic
  • Staples
