
Southern Alberta non-profits to receive combined $1 million in grants
LETHBRIDGE, AB – More than two dozen local community organizations are set to receive new funding.
The Government of Canada said it will support 21 local projects with a total of $610,000 through its Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF), while the United Way of Lethbridge and South Western Alberta will contribute $398,319 to six initiatives.
Funding will be distributed by the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta (CFLSA).
CFLSA Executive Director Charleen Davidson said they received more than 40 applications this year, revealing to her the need for additional supports for the charitable sector.
