LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s a busy long weekend for events in Lethbridge, and Lethbridge News Now has you covered with all the details.

Lethbridge Hurricanes training camp – August 31-September 3, 2023

The Hurricanes began training camp on Thursday, August 31, and will end with the Red vs. White Intersquad game on Sunday, September 3 at 12:00 p.m.

Admission into training camp events, as well as the White vs. Red game, will be free of charge, though the team is encouraging those attending to bring a donation for the Lethbridge Food Bank and Interfaith Food Bank.

Lethbridge Farmers’ Market – September 2, 2023

The Lethbridge Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday until October 14, 2023 at Lethbridge & District Exhibition. Shop local vendors and stock up on produce, baked goods and other fun items. The Saturday market is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with free parking and admission.

Birds of Prey Centre final weekend – September 2-4, 2023

The Alberta Birds of Prey Centre’s final weekend of the season takes place over Labour Day weekend. Activities at the centre include flight demonstrations, photo ops and feeding ducks. Information on events and hours can be found on the organization’s website.

Southern Alberta Amateur – September 2-4, 2023

Henderson Lake Golf Club is hosting the 2023 Southern Alberta Amateur from Saturday until Monday. The tournament is a two-man format, with three different playing formats over the three days. Day one will be a Chapman round, day two is Best Ball, and day 3 is Stableford. Information can be found on the club’s website.

Rocky Mountain Turf Club Race Day – September 3-4, 2023

The Rocky Mountain Turf Club is back on the weekend with races on Sunday and Monday. Both race days begin at 1:15 p.m., and run until 6 p.m. A full race schedule for the Rocky Mountain Turf Club’s season can be found here.
