Jake Marshall and Nikki Stahl named Kodiaks’ athletes of the week
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Last weekend was the first of the season for men’s and women’s soccer in the Athletic Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC).
The Kodiaks kicked it off with two home matches, and came out on top in both. As a result of their victories, two players were named athletes of the week.
Jake Marshall made an impact in his debut game for the Kodiaks, scoring a goal and being named ACAC player of the Game against the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings. He then carried his momentum into their next match, scoring the game winning goal against the Olds College Broncos.
On the women’s side, fifth year player Nikki Stahl scored the game winner in the Kodiaks’ first game, also against Red Deer Polytechnic. She then followed that up with a more dominant performance, scoring twice against Olds College, leading her team to another victory.
