Lethbridge Police continues to investigate Sunday shooting

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is continuing to investigate a shooting at a downtown pub.

On Sunday, September 10, 2023 at approximately 2:26 a.m., police responded to a report of gunshots outside Hudson’s Taphouse along the 900 block of 2 Avenue South.

Police said prior to the shooting, two males were observed fighting near the entrance and security staff soon intervened. The LPS stated that a white SUV later arrived on scene, and two males exited and began confronting people in the parking lot.

This reportedly led to an altercation, and police noted that a firearm was discharged multiple times. No one was injured, but police said a bullet was recovered from the wall above the entrance of the restaurant, along with a knife dropped by one of the assailants.

LPS has interviewed multiple witnesses, but are asking anyone else who was present during the incident, or has any information, to come forward.
