Fort MacLeod Health Centre Emergency Department set to temporarily close Tuesday, September 19, 2023

FORT MACLEOD, AB – The Emergency Department (ED) at the Fort Macleod Health Centre is set to temporarily close.

The ED will be closed from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 due to a lack of physician coverage.

During the temporary closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents.

Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. EMS calls will be re-routed to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Patients seeking care can access emergency services at Chinook Regional Hospital, the Pincher Creek Health Centre or Cardston Health Centre.
