LETHBRIDGE, AB –There are plenty of events to check out in Lethbridge this week, and Lethbridge News Now has you covered with the details.

Beginner Belly Dance Classes – Mondays

The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association Multicultural Centre is hosting belly dancing lessons every Monday until October 30, 2023. The lessons teach beginner combos, choreographies and the history of belly dancing. Anyone interested can sign up online.

Grand Slam Day – September 20, 2023

The Interfaith Food Bank is holding a promotion with the Denny’s restaurant in Lethbridge. Wednesday is Grand Slam Day, and all grand slams sold between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. will be $4.99. All proceeds will go to the food bank.

Yoga in the Park – Every Wednesday

The Family Ties Association is offering an ongoing event called Downtown Yoga every Wednesday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Galt Gardens. The classes run until September 27 and participation in the event is free. Information can be found here.

Abba Revisited – September 21, 2023

Vaughn Entertainment is putting on ‘Abba Revisited’ in Lethbridge on Thursday. The traveling show features costumes, singing of the band’s classic songs at the Yates Memorial Theatre. Tickets are available online.

Downtown Night Markets – September 21, 2023

From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, the Downtown Night Markets will return at Festival Square. There will be live music and food trucks to go along with the local vendors.

Lethbridge Hurricanes home opener – September 22, 2023

The Lethbridge Hurricanes kick off their regular season on Friday with a game against the Swift Current Broncos at the ENMAX Centre. The Hurricanes finished their preseason with a 2-2 record, and are looking to extend their streak to seven straight seasons with a playoff berth. Tickets can be found at the team website.
