RCMP arrest man on outstanding warrants in Pincher Creek

PINCHER CREEK, AB – A southern Alberta man is facing multiple charges stemming from outstanding warrants.

On September 13, 2023, the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SAD CRU) arrested Jayson Bixby on outstanding warrants. Bixby, a native of Shaughnessy, was wanted on charges of:

• Two counts of flight from police
• Mischief
• Trespass at night

Police say that when they tried to arrest Bixby, he attempted to resist arrest and flee. When he was taken into custody, he allegedly had a taser on his person.

He has also been charged with:

• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
• Resist arrest
• Possess a prohibited weapon

Bixby was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge court on Sept. 25, 2023.
