RCMP arrest two men, seeking three more in connection to home invasion

PINCHER CREEK, AB – Two men are in custody, and the RCMP is looking for three more suspects in connection to a reported home invasion in Coleman, Alberta.

On September 16, 2023, at around 5:15 pm, Crowsnest Pass RCMP members were dispatched to a complaint of an assault involving weapons at a residence in west Coleman.

Police reported that five men armed with weapons forced entry into the home and assaulted one male and one female resident. During the incident, the suspects allegedly targeted a second male resident who had returned home. Police report that the suspects had firearms and other weapons, and they believe the home invasion was a targeted attack.

On Thursday, September 21, RCMP arrested 41-year-old Garett Adam Ouellette in connection to the incident. Another man, Tyler Thomas Trodden, 39, was arrested on Sunday, September 24 in Champion.

Ouellette will appear in court in Pincher Creek on Thursday, September 28. A court date has yet to be set for Trodden.

Police are still looking for Robert Russell Dwyer, 37, and Aaron John Thompson, 40, as well as an unidentified fifth suspect. Both Dwyer and Thompson are believed to be in the Pincher Creek area, according to the RCMP.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dwyer or Thompson, or the identity of the fifth suspect, is asked to contact Crowsnest Pass RCMP at 403-562-2867.
