Hurricanes sign goaltender Brody Rotar to WHL contract

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have signed another goaltender to their roster.

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the Hurricanes announced the signing of 2008-born goaltender Brody Rotar to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Rotar was selected by the Hurricanes in the fifth round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, with the 102 overall pick. Rotar spent the 2022-23 season with the Lethbridge Golden Hawks U15 team, posting a 6-13-3 record with a .902 save percentage.

Rotar joins a goaltending roster featuring Harrison Meneghin, Brady Smith and Koen Cleaver, the latter of whom is currently with the Pacific Coast Academy U18 Prep team.

The Hurricanes return to action this weekend when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors at the ENMAX Centre on Friday, October 6, 2023.
