LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge College Kodiaks men’s volleyball team has landed a commitment from an American talent.

On October 3, 2023, the Kodiaks announced the commitment of Kohlbe Anderson from Claymont, Delaware for the season.

The 6’5 middle/opposite comes from the Brandywine Volleyball club in Delaware, and met Kodiaks assistant coach Matt Primrose at a professional try-out with the Philadelphia Founders.

Primrose encouraged Anderson to look into college volleyball, leading to his commitment to the Kodiaks.

Head coach Greg Gibos spoke highly of Anderson and his maturity.

He said, “He has a desire to get better, while endearing himself to his teammates and community. What struck me most with him was how much time he has spent learning the sport over the last several years as he has poured himself into coaching younger athletes in his community.”

Anderson has enrolled in the business administration program at Lethbridge College and has already volunteered at schools across southern Alberta for coaching sessions.

Anderson said, “I want Kodiaks country to know that I want to make an impact in this community. I want boys to inspire boys, to come out and play this sport.”

The Kodiaks men’s and women’s teams will head to Vulcan on October 4, 2023 for a matchup against the SAIT Trojans.
