City of Lethbridge announces service level changes for Thanksgiving 2023

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge has announced service level changes for Thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving is on Monday, October 9, 2023. The following changes will be in place:

City Hall

• City Hall will be closed on October 9, and will reopen on Tuesday, October 10, at 8:00 a.m.

Waste and Recycling

Nighttime construction on Hwy 3 in Lethbridge starts April 17

• The Waste and Recycling Centre will be closed on October 9. However, yard waste sites will be open.

Pools and arenas

• Schedules can be found here.

Community Animal Services

• Community Animal Services will be closed on October 9 and reopen October 10. Those with lost pets are asked to contact the shelter (403) 320-4099 ahead of time to schedule a pick up.

Transit Service

• Lethbridge Transit will operate on its holiday schedule.

ACCESS-A-RIDE

• Booking and customer service will be closed on October 9. Service hours will remain unchanged.

Galt Museum & Archives/Fort Whoop-up

• The Galt Museum will be closed on October 9. Fort Whoop-up is closed for the season.

Helen Schuler Nature Centre

• Closed on October 9

Lethbridge Public Library

• All branches will be closed on October 9
