Four taken into custody in connection with alleged sexual assault at Chinook High School

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has arrested four young males in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a high school in the city.

Police said that on October 3, 2023, a 16-year-old was sexually assaulted in a locker room at Chinook High School. The LPS noted that the alleged incident happened after regular school hours.

Officials reported that the subjects and victim were all members of the school football team, and the incident was not random.

On October 10, the LPS arrested three subjects, all under the age of 18, at the school. The fourth subject, also under 18, was arrested after attending the police station.

The investigation continues and the LPS said charges are pending.
