Motorists stopped for allegedly travelling at high speeds on southern Alberta highways

RAYMOND, AB – Two motorists were stopped for allegedly traveling at high speeds Friday morning.

On October 13, 2023, Ridge Regional Peace Officers said one motorist was stopped on Highway 845. The driver was reportedly traveling at 171 km/h in a 100 km/h speed zone.

A second motorist was stopped on Highway 4.

Officials said they were going 169 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

Both drivers were issued with court dates at the Lethbridge Provincial Courthouse. The Ridge Regional Peace Officers did not disclose those dates.
