University of Lethbridge hosts Canada West Rugby 15s Championship

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The University of Lethbridge is hosting the women’s 2023 Canada West Rugby 15s championship this week.

The tournament will see the top four teams in Canada West faceoff for the title. Joining the Pronghorns in the tournament are the University of Alberta Pandas, the University of Victoria Vikes, and the UBC Thunderbirds.

The games begin on Thursday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. with a match between the Pandas and the Vikes. Following that, the Pronghorns will face off against the Thunderbirds at 5:00.

The two victors will then face off for the gold medal match on Sunday, October 22 at 1:00 p.m., while the bronze medal match will be at 11:00 a.m. There will be an awards ceremony following the championship match.

The Pronghorns finished the 2023 season with a 2-4 record on the season.
