Lethbridge County Reeve and Deputy Reeve elected for 2023-24 term

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Reeve and Deputy Reeve have been elected for Lethbridge County.

At the Thursday, October 19, 2023 Organizational Meeting of Council, Tory Campbell of Division 2 was elected Reeve. Meanwhile, John Kuerbis of Division 4 was elected Deputy Reeve.

Both will serve a year-long term in the positions until October 2024.

Tory Campbell has been on Lethbridge County council since 2017 and is entering his second term and third consecutive year as Reeve.

In a news release, Campbell stated, “It is an honour to once again be elected by my fellow council members to serve as Reeve for another year.”

Campbell continued, “I am encouraged by what we have been able to achieve so far in this term by focusing on regional collaboration, responsible decision-making and strong governance.”

Deputy Reeve John Kuerbis is in his first term on council and second consecutive year as Deputy Reeve.

He said, “I look forward to once again serving in the role of Deputy Reeve to further the great work that has been done so far in my term on council.”

“Council has a clear vision for the future and we are grateful for the opportunity to work toward the betterment of our community.”

Additionally, council selected members to sit on internal and external boards, committees and commissions where a council representative is needed. A full list is at the Lethbridge County website.
