Federal funding expands pilot training at Mount Royal University
CALGARY, AB – The pilot and flight training capacity at Mount Royal University is set to be doubled courtesy of a federal investment.
The Government of Canada is investing $3 million, via PrairiesCan, into the post-secondary’s pilot and aviation flight training program. The funding will help to double enrollment to 80 students per year in Mount Royal University’s Aviation Diploma program.
Additionally, it will help in launching a new Bachelor of Aviation Management degree program in 2024.
The investment will assist in equipping a new hangar and learning facility at the university’s Springbank campus, including new virtual reality technology and flight simulators.
