One killed in collision near Vulcan

VULCAN COUNTY, AB – The RCMP is continuing to investigate a fatal collision in southern Alberta.

At approximately 6:34 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, officers were called to a two-collision on Highway 23 south of Township Road 162 in Vulcan County.

According to the initial investigation by the RCMP, a northbound car lost control and struck a southbound truck.

The lone occupant of the car, a 61-year-old man from Edmonton, was taken to a hospital where he later died due to his injuries.

The two occupants in the truck were uninjured.
