LETHBRIDGE, AB –There are plenty of events to check out in Lethbridge and southern Alberta for Halloween weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has you covered with the details.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Calgary Hitmen – October 27, 2023

The Lethbridge Hurricanes host the Calgary Hitmen at the ENMAX Centre on Friday. The game is the first promotional home game of the season, the B93 Halloween Howler. Fans are encouraged to wear their costume to the game, plus there will be trick-or-treating at concessions, the team store and guest services.

Dia De Los Muertos: Day Of The Dead – October 27, 2023

The City of Lethbridge and the Multicultural Centre are holding the Dia De Los Muertos celebration on Friday. Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrates and honours family and friends who have died, and includes dinner, music, masks and dancing. Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30. Tickets can be purchased here.

The Full Monty – October 26 – November 4, 2023

Lethbridge Musical Theatre’s newest production, The Full Monty debuts on Thursday. The show, based on the classic British comedy, tells the story of six unemployed men who decide to form a male striptease act in order to make money. The production takes place at the Yates Memorial Theatre, and tickets can be purchased at the ENMAX Centre website.

Fort Macleod Curling Club Anniversary Celebration – October 27-28, 2023

The Fort Macleod Curling Club celebrates its 125th anniversary this weekend, with events happening Friday and Saturday. There will be an open house, curling, a dance and more activities for everyone.

Lethbridge Corn Maze – Open until October 28, 2023

This weekend marks the last weekend you can visit the Lethbridge Corn Maze. The last day of operation is Saturday. The Lethbridge Corn Maze features a giant jumping pillow, petting zoo and the popular maze.

Jake’s Gift – October 28, 2023

Jake’s Gift, a multi-award-winning Canadian play, is coming to the Coaldale Civic Centre on Saturday. The play, which is being performed to commemorate Poppy Tag Day, follows a World War II soldier who returns to Normandy to find his brother’s grave. Tickets can be found here.

This and That Winter Market – October 28, 2023

The This and That Winter Market is coming to Raymond on Saturday. The event is hosted by the Raymond Ag Society and runs from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The market features over 45 tables of local vendors, including Christmas items for sale. Lunch will be available for purchase by the Raymond 4-H Club.

Batstravaganza – October 28, 2023

The Southern Alberta Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and Alberta Community Bat Program, is putting on an event to educate people on bats and the role the play. The event will have games, crafts, and candy, and those wearing a costume get in for free.

Bridge Bolt – October 28-29, 2023

The Lethbridge Speed Skating Club is having its annual meet at the Cavendish Farms Centre on the weekend. The Bridge Bolt features speed skaters aged five to 13 from around western Canada coming to compete. The event coincides with the club’s 50th anniversary.

Face Your Fears – October 29, 2023

Archie’s Angels Rabbit Rescue is holding an event on Sunday to see and learn about exotic animals. The event will be providing education on exotic animals such as snakes and tarantulas, and will allow attendees to hold them. All proceeds will go to the rescue. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Lethbridge Fish and Game Hut.
