BROCKET, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has announced that a mobile mammography trailer is coming to Brocket.

On November 8 and 9, 2023, a mobile mammography trailer will be stationed at Aakom-Kiyii Health Services. Women aged 45 to 74, the group most at risk of developing breast cancer, will be able to book an appointment.

The trailer is part of AHS’ Screen Test program, which aims to provide access to cancer screening for women in Alberta communities where mammography is not readily available.

The trailer is currently stationed in Crowsnest Pass, and will be until November 7, where it will then head to Brocket.

Appointments are required. Residents can book an appointment or learn more about the program by calling 1-800-667-0604.
