Mobile mammography service coming to Cardston

CARDSTON, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is bringing a mammography service to Cardston.

A mobile mammography trailer will be set up at the Cardston Health Centre (144 2 Street W.) on November 10, 14 and 15, 2023.

Appointments are required for the service from the AHS Screen Test program. Bookings can be made by calling 1-800-667-0604.

A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast. Officials said this has proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer. Early detection allows for a greater number of options for treatment, as well as a better chance at survival.

More information about the Screen Test program is available through the AHS website.
