Lethbridge Police Service investigating north side stabbing

ORIGINAL STORY – October 31, 2023

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is investigating a north Lethbridge stabbing that sent a man to hospital.

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at approximately 1:37 a.m., LPS officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a physical altercation involving several people at the Afro Habesha Lounge along the 1700 block of 23 Street North.

Upon arrival, they found that a 30-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times, and he was transported to hospital by EMS in critical condition. Police said the victim remains in hospital in stable condition.

Four males were arrested at the scene, but were released without charges.

Police are asking anyone who was at the Habesha Lounge at the time of the incident, or has information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
