Pincher Creek man facing drug charges

PINCHER CREEK, AB – A Pincher Creek man is facing multiple drug charges following an RCMP investigation.

The RCMP’s Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SADCRU) began a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation into a suspected drug trafficker in August 2023.

On October 18, SADCRU, with the assistance of Pincher Creek RCMP, executed two search warrants at a motel and trailer in relation to the investigation.

Police said they seized substances suspected to be methamphetamine, oxycodone, cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as drug paraphernalia and proceeds of crime.

Donovan Jackson, 38, of Pincher Creek is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the use in production or trafficking in a substance
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession of proceeds of crime

Jackson first appeared in court in Pincher Creek on October 26.
