Nominations for Lethbridge College’s alumni awards now open

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge College’s alumni community has been called to make nominations for the 2024 Honouring Excellence Awards.

Since 1992, these awards have been given out annually to celebrate the success of alumni whose perseverance, determination and grit let them to rise to the top of their careers and communities.

Stephanie Savage, manager of Alumni and Engagement said, “It is our privilege to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our graduates as they use their expertise, passion and unwavering commitment to make a difference in the world.”

She continued, “Lethbridge College is proud of our alumni and their successes, and Honouring Excellence gives us the opportunity to celebrate and appreciate them.”

Nominations can be made for the following awards:

  • Distinguished Alumni – Graduates who have distinguished themselves in their respective career, made a significant contribution to their communities and demonstrated service to the college and its students.
  • Community Leader – Graduates who have made contributions to their community through work or personal interests, those with the drive to improve the lives of fellow citizens.
  • Career Virtuoso – Alumni who have made significant contributions to their professional field. They are inventors, creators and leaders who have shown a steady rise to success that is recognized by peers in their industry.
  • Rising Star – Those within 10 years of graduating that have left trails of success as they become innovators in their professions.

To be eligible for an Honouring Excellence Award, nominees must have graduated from Lethbridge Junior College, Lethbridge Community College or Lethbridge College, or by the nature of the program transferred to another institution to complete their studies. Graduates of trades programs, apprenticeship training and nursing education in southwestern Alberta are also eligible.
