Pincher Creek Emergency Department set to temporarily close

PINCHER CREEK, AB – Due to a lack of physician coverage, the Pincher Creek Health Centre Emergency Department (ED) will be temporarily closed from 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 until 7:30 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Nursing staff will remain on-site throughout the closure to provide care for inpatients, and physicians can be reached for support by phone.

Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.

Patients seeking care can access emergency services at the Cardston Health Centre, Crowsnest Pass Health Centre, Fort Macleod Health Centre or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Residents can also call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.
