Folsom Prison Revisited – November 16, 2023

Johnny Cash’s famous performance is brought back to life in the live show Folsom Prison Revisited on Thursday. The show features classic songs from the performance, including “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Jackson”, as well as other Cash hits like “Hurt” and “Ring of Fire”. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. at the ENMAX Centre, and tickets can be purchased here.

Downtown Yoga – Wednesdays

The City of Lethbridge is running Downtown Yoga every Wednesday. The yoga takes place from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Back in Balance Wellness Centre (303 3 Avenue S.).

SAAG Bletcher Hour – November 16, 2023

On Thursday, from 6 to 7 p.m., the Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG) is hosting its monthly critical reading group. The readings explore key themes of the exhibitions and current events, and this week’s reading is We Were All Wounded at Wounded Knee: The Engaged Resistance of Folk and Rock in the Red Power Era. Entry into the event is free.

Cardboard Boat Race – November 16, 2023

Career Transitions is holding its annual cardboard boat race at the University of Lethbridge on Thursday. In teams of four, 200 students from across southwestern Alberta will be competing in the event. The day is split into two parts, with the build taking place on the track at the 1st Choice Savings Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The races and weight challenge portion of the event start at 12:35 at the Max Bell Pool.

Métis Sash Day – November 16, 2023

Lethbridge College will honour the culture and history of the Métis community, with Métis Sash Day on Thursday,. The Métis Sash Day will officially begin with a prayer and opening remarks at Centre Core at 9:00 a.m., followed by a flag raising with Métis students.
