LETHBRIDGE, AB – Holiday events are beginning to pop up around Lethbridge this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Christmas at CASA – November 17-18

Christmas at CASA is returning to Lethbridge for 2023. Atendees can pick up a Merry Merchants & Markets Map, watch the holiday tree lighting on 6 Street, visit local merchants, and do some holiday shopping. Many disciplines are represented at the market including jewelry, glassworks, pottery, fine art, textiles, photography, and woodturning. The event runs from 5 – 9 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Pronghorns vs. University of Manitoba basketball – November 17-18, 2023

The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men’s and women’s basketball teams host the University of Manitoba on Friday and Saturday. The women’s team plays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the men’s team starts two hours after. Tickets can be found here.

LDKC Conformation/Obedience Show – November 17-19

The Lethbridge & District Kennel Club is hosting a show at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre. The Conformation/Obedience show is a three day event with three All Breed Conformation Shows, six All Breed Rally Obedience Trials and more. Information is at the Lethbridge and District Kennel Club website.

Curator Tour: Escaping Residential Schools – November 17, 2023

An exhibition at the Galt Museum & Archives, Escaping Residential Schools is a detailed tour. The tour runs from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Details are at the Galt Museum website.

Lethbridge Plays National Child Day – November 18, 2023

Lethbridge Plays is hosting a National Child Day celebration at the Lethbridge College Centre Core on Saturday. The event begins at 9:30 a.m., and runs until noon. There will be opening remarks from councillor Jenn Schmidt-Rempel, and activities like multicultural dancing, community agency information tables, prizes, games, a community craft project and snacks.

Christmas Tea and Bazaar – November 18, 2023

Southminster United Church is kicking off the holiday season with their Annual Christmas Tea and Bazaar on Saturday. The event offers tea and desserts from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

Friends of the Lethbridge Public Library Book Sale – November 18 – 19, 2023

Friends of the Lethbridge Public Library is holding their annual Book sale on Saturday and Sunday. The sale is a bag sale, and a standard grocery bag of books, DVDs or CDs is $5. The sale takes place at the Library’s main branch.

Indigenous Makers Market – November 19, 2023

Discover and support Indigenous small businesses by shopping local for authentic art, designs, crafts, and other unique items. The Galt Museum & Archives is hosting the market, which will take place at Fort Whoop-Up on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The event is free to attend.
