AHS Toys for Tickets campaign returns for 2023

Nov 20, 2023 | 4:11 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is accepting toys as payment for parking tickets for the holidays.

AHS is bringing back its Toys for Tickets campaign for 2023, which gives people who have recently received an AHS parking ticket an opportunity to donate a new toy rather than paying their fine.

Parking Services began accepting toys as donations on November 6, and will continue to accept them until December 15 at any AHS parking office. Toys should be in the original packaging, for ages newborn to 17 years, and must cost $25 or over.

The purchased toys will be donated to various children’s foundations and charity organizations, and given to kids across the province.

Recommended donations include books, art supplies, science kits, electronics, and grocery/restaurant cards, among others.

More information on the campaign can be found at the Alberta Health Services website.
