Christmas tree lit at Lethbridge City Hall

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The spirit of the holidays has filled Lethbridge City Hall.

Deputy mayor Mark Campbell lit the Christmas tree in the foyer of the municipal building on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Campbell said the tree in the foyer of City Hall, along with various decorations, “promotes a welcoming environment”. He thanked City of Lethbridge staff who helped decorate the tree over the weekend.

Campbell touched on the importance of supporting vulnerable populations and community members in need this holiday season.

He said, “We know our food banks need our support.”

“Many other great charities and organizations will also be in need this season so please take a look for information and help if you can, so we can ensure everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.”

Campbell also encouraged residents to think about local businesses when doing their seasonal shopping.

He stated, “I’m sure the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce and Downtown BRZ will have some further information to share in the days and weeks ahead, but I’d also like to encourage people to think and shop local and support our array of amazing local businesses right across the city.”
