LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes came out of the weekend with two victories against B.C. opponents.

The Hurricanes kicked off their weekend, and their five game B.C. road trip, with an 8-3 win over the Victoria Royals on Friday, November 17, 2023.

In the game, the Hurricanes were led by four-point nights from both Brayden Edwards and Miguel Marques. Edwards scored a hat trick and added an assist, while Marques had one goal and three assists.

Leo Braillard had two assists of his own, and Harrison Meneghin stopped 25 shots in the win, his 11th of the season.

The Hurricanes then traveled across the Strait of Georgia to take on the Vancouver Giants on Saturday.

In that game, the Hurricanes struck first with a goal by Kooper Gizowski, but eventually fell down 3-1 at the halfway mark of the third period. The Hurricanes then stormed back in the final five minutes, with goals by Braillard and Gizowski again to force overtime.

The extra frame was a short one as Noah Chadwick scored to end the game 4-3, and give Lethbridge its third win in a row.

The two wins brought the Hurricanes up to a 12-8-2 record on the season, and they still occupy second place in the Central Division.

They will continue their road trip with a game against the Kelowna Rockets on Tuesday, November 21, followed by a match against the Kamloops Blazers on Wednesday.
