LETHBRIDGE, AB – A festive fundraiser for the Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH) Foundation has been deemed a success!

The 29th annual Christmas Tree Festival, presented by Stringam LLP, was held at the ENMAX Centre from November 19 to 22, 2023.

In total, the CRH Foundation said the event raised more than $160,000, with money raised staying right in Lethbridge to enhance care and equipment at Chinook Regional Hospital.

The four-day festival helped transform the venue into a winter wonderland as the site was filled with Christmas trees that were auctioned off.

Shonna Lamb, development officer with the CRH Foundation said, “What an amazing event, thanks to the support and community spirit of Southern Alberta residents!”

Lamb added, “The funds raised at this event will go a long way toward purchasing vital equipment and enhancing patients and staff care at our community hospital. This includes our major projects that fall outside of government funding. Thank you so much for your contributions.”

The CRH Foundation said the event would not have been possible without the help of sponsors and the work of volunteers. The foundation stated, “These organizations and individuals helped us hand-decorate the beautiful trees, create the shimmering, magical atmosphere, and host our Gala & Auction.”

Officials said more than 4,000 people attend the Christmas Tree Festival each year. Donations are still being accepted by the CRH Foundation. Those wishing to donate can do so via the foundation website.
