Mobile mammography trailer to visit Fort Macleod
FORT MACLEOD, AB – A mobile mammography trailer is coming to Fort Macleod on December 1, 2, 4, and 5, 2023. It will be stationed at the Fort Macleod Health Centre (744 26 St.).
This is intended for women ages 45 to 74, the group most at risk of developing breast cancer, according to Alberta Health Services.
A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast which has proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer. Early detection increases the number of possible treatments and chance of survival.
Appointments are required. More information about the trailer and its services are at the AHS website.
