LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Weather Network (TWN) has released its forecast for the coming winter.

It is calling for above-normal temperatures for all of Alberta and British Columbia and below-normal precipitation for all of Alberta and all but the far northwest corner of B.C.

TWN is calling for a “mild and dry pattern” leading up to Christmas in Alberta.

It said there could be colder weather and more snow in mid to late winter.

Forecasters add that there will still be what they call “high-impact winter weather.”

According to TWN, Alberta could see “one of the strongest El Nino events on record” this winter.
