LETHBRIDGE, AB – We are into the final month of 2023, and there are plenty of events in Lethbridge this weekend as the calendar turns. Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Saskatoon Blades – December 1, 2023

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are in action on Friday, taking on the WHL-leading Saskatoon Blades. The game is the Hurricanes’ annual Teddy Bear Toss, where bears will be thrown on the ice following the Hurricanes’ first goal. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m.

Christmas at Crossings – December 1, 2023

Multiple events are set to take place in west Lethbridge on Friday to kick off December. From 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Cavendish Farms Centre, enjoy parent & tot hockey with stick and foam pucks. There will be a public open skate from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the centre, a holiday market from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cor Van Raay YMCA and much more. Further details are available here.

Lethbridge Handmade Market: Holi-Yay: December 2, 2023

The Lethbridge Handmade Market returns to the Agri-Food Hub and Trade Centre’ UFA Hall on Saturday with their “Holi-Yay” event. The market will feature over 115 local vendors, $3,500 in door prizes and live music. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Glow Lethbridge – November 23 – December 31, 2023

Lethbridge’s holiday light celebration is at the Lethbridge & District Exhibition Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. Glow Lethbridge features lights in the form of landmarks like the London Bridge, Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower, as well as a scavenger hunt, music and treats. More information can be found here.

A Not So Silent Night Small Business Holiday Party – December 2, 2023

The ENMAX Centre is bringing back the Small Business Holiday Party. The party features live music from Lethbridge ban The Chevelles, dancing, and a buffet from Brimstone Grill. Tickets and more information can be found here.

Winter Craft Workshop – December 2, 2023

Get your creative juices flowing at the Coalhurst Parks and Recreation Society’s Winter Craft Workshop on Saturday. The event gives participants the opportunity to create their own holiday signs. Supplies will be provided, including paint, brushes, and wooden signs. Spots are limited, so spots must be reserved.

Attridge Light Display – December 2, 2023

The Attridge Light Display is running every Saturday until December 23 at 1803, 14 Ave N. All proceeds from the event will go to Interfaith Food Bank. At the event, there will be hot chocolate, a fire and a movie playing.

Lube Oil Filter Day – December 2, 2023

Davis GMC Buick is holding their 28th annual Lube Oil Filter Day on Saturday. From 8 a.m. until noon, attendees can get a free oil change with a minimum $100 donation to the Interfaith Food Bank.

Big Christmas Show & Farmers Market – December 2-3, 2023

Domesticated Divas Events is having their Big Christmas Show & Farmers Market at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre over the weekend. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Hall C, and donations to local youth sports will be accepted at the door.

Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival – November 30 – February 24

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge is hosting its eighth annual Winter Light Festival. This year, the festival will have a ‘Celebration of the Seasons’ theme. The festival’s opening night is Thursdays, and will be open Thursdays through Sundays in November and December.

Children’s Symphony Music Performance – December 3, 2023

Lethbridge Symphony’s Musaeus String Quartet is putting on a performance at the Galt Museum & Archives on Sunday. The one-hour show begins at 2 p.m. and aims to introduce classical music to a younger audience.
