LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events to check out in Southern Alberta this week, and Lethbridge News Now has you covered with the details.

Ka Mo Taan Festive Lights – December 4, 2023

The Kanaiwa Children’s Services Corpration will be hosting the Opening Night of Festive Lights “KA MO TAAN” 2023 on Monday, December 4 in Standoff. The event offers a drive-through Christmas light display, with the option of community members stopping and walking through the display to enjoy the festive lights. A light meal and treats will also be provided as well as a visit from Napi and a Fireworks show.

Glow Lethbridge – November 23 – December 31, 2023

Lethbridge’s holiday light celebration is at the Lethbridge & District Exhibition Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. Glow Lethbridge features lights in the form of landmarks like the London Bridge, Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower, as well as a scavenger hunt, music and treats. More information can be found here.

Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival – November 30 – February 24

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge is hosting its eighth annual Winter Light Festival. This year, the festival will have a ‘Celebration of the Seasons’ theme. The festival’s opening night is Thursdays, and will be open Thursdays through Sundays in November and December.

Moms Stop the Harm and Failed Drug Policies – December 7, 2023.

A seminar is being held at the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) Dining Room on Thursday about the opioid crisis in southern Alberta. Amber Jensen is a member of Moms Stop the Harm and a social justice advocate, and she will be the speaker at the event. The presentation begins at noon & concludes at 1 p.m. Entry into the event is free, but donations are encouraged.

Drop in Youth Art Program – December 7, 2023

The Galt Museum & Archives is holding their bi-monthly art program. The program takes place every second and fourth Thursday and allows participants to create and connect with others. Local artists will be available to offer guidance, support, and art critiques. Snacks will be provided, and there is no cost to participate.
