Lethbridge City Hall public access hours to change in 2024

Dec 5, 2023 | 3:25 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Beginning in the New Year, Lethbridge residents will notice a change to the public access hours at City Hall.

Lethbridge City Hall’s public hours will be changed to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Officials said the change is aimed to “enhance the efficiency and service quality at City Hall”.

Current hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with data acquired in the last year showing that 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. has lower customer visits and accounts for just 1.4 per cent of in-person customer service interactions.

Officials said that City of Lethbridge staff members will continue to work the same number of hours. During non-public hours, staff will focus on essential administrative tasks, attend meetings, participate in training and work on other projects “to further enhance the services we provide to the public”.

Hours will not change for virtual and telephone 311 customer service, and residents can still self-serve 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the City of Lethbridge website or call to speak with a representative beginning at 8 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.
